After seeing the miraculous results of Eyesential under-eye enhancer on “A Current Affair” I accepted a free trial of it at Chadstone Shopping Complex today. Before trying it out I asked all the right questions and was reassured that it is perfectly safe and couldn’t irritate my skin.
It did tighten the puffiness under one eye. The other eye was not as good and the demonstrator said she probably had not cleaned the area enough. I decided to go for a walk and have a coffee before agreeing to the purchase.
Anyhow, I’m so pleased that I didn’t fork out the money because I developed a red blotch under the eye area that had improved in appearance. So I returned to the demonstrators and they removed the Eyesential with a wet cotton wipe. It was uncomfortable and then I felt as if the skin was burning.
Perhaps some people wouldn’t have side effects from it, but I definitely had a bad reaction to it. Thank goodness I didn’t leave the stuff on for too long.
The moral of this story is “if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.”

I have used it twice. First time no problem. Second time I had the same experience as above, burning sensation when cleaning and for the past three days I have a red scab and peeling under my right eye. Won’t be using again. There is lesser peeling under left eye.

I made the mistake of buying it after a demostration in Perth at an Expo. I experienced a strong burning sensation and the skin under both eyes became red, puffy and I have what appears to be scabs. This is day two and both eyes are red, swollen and sore. I look like I have been attacked. I was not told any of the downside. Avoid this one it is bad news.

Hi Suzanne,
I think they are making a mistake by not warning people that it can be dangerous. I hope that you feel better soon. I went and complained to them and they said that nobody has ever had a bad reaction to the product. This is obviously not true.

I have used this product several times with brilliant results and no side effect at all even though I would class my skin as fairly sensitive (some face creams give minor irritation) I would recommend it to anyone.

I too have a dry red blotch under one eye which came up immediately after they applied it in a shopping centre mall. I am very upset that i was not told that this could be a side effect. it is unsightly and has been there for a week so far.

I have been using this product for over 6 months and it is the only product I have used that really makes my eyes look good after our long working hours. I have started to depend on it and I am very happy with the increased confidence it gives me.

I too have been burned by this product!
Even to wash my eyes it burns. I cant put cream on either to try & cool it down. My eyes are red, puffy & scabby. I paid £38 for painful unsightly eyes! It is a week later & I am still in pain.

Dawn, they are still pushing free trials of this same product at the Chadstone Shopping Complex in Melbourne, Australia. I had returned and told them that it burned me and they said nobody had ever complained about it. Just goes to show that you can’t believe what they tell you.

Beauty products direct is lying when they tell you there has never been a complaint! It burned my eyes so bad I have permanent damage! I had many communications with the company. They even paid for some of my laser treatments to help repair the damage their product caused. They stopped all communication with me. We have sued them but they refuse to respond. Would anyone like to join me?

I used to sell Eyesential in my salon and although most people did not have a reaction, it did hapen sometimes and could be quite bad. I now sell a different one which seems to be more gentle on the skin (contains collagen but no preservatives) The result is the same but we have far fewer reactions. It’s called The Eyelift Kit if anyone is interested.

I have used the product for a few weeks and it was fine but last week I used it and I had a really bad reaction I felt a burning sensation and then it started puffing up really badly I had to go to work with what look like a black eye it was really embrassing I was very upset and even 5 days later I still have the swelling, it is wrong they are not warning people. I have never had a reaction to anything I use and I do not have sensitive skin so they can not use that as an excuse I will complain to the company and if they tell me no one has complained I will print this web site and show them. I intend to get in touch with Trading Standards in Liverpool if the company refused to refund my money

I have used this product for the past 18 months and cannot recommend it highly enough. I have pretty sensitive skin but have had now reaction at all and it does exactly what it says it will do.

I used this product for a few months but also had problems with dry and red skin. I switched to The Eyelift Kit which seems to suit my skin much better. Also, I used to get frustrated that I’d waste Eyesential (which isn’t cheap!)because it would dry out in the bottle before I could use it up. The Eyelift Kit doesn’t have that problem as it comes in sealed wells. Hope this helps!

I think it’s fantastic. It takes years of my face especially if i wake up looking tired. I have had no problems with it and have used it for 10mths and i don’t think i can live without it.

hi everyone, thanks for the comments
been using this product for a few years now and found it fantastic – UNTIL this morning when i looked in the mirror to see a red burn type mark under my eye!
looks like i have a black eye!i had heard that e.s. can do this but i thought it was just for the sensitive!
i hope it fades – can’t even use concealer or cover up!

I have purchased eyesential and used it twice no problem. But after reading the problems I am too scared to use it.

I’m in Melbourne Australia and I’ve been using this product for 6 weeks with no problems. It greatly reduces the bags under my eyes which have been the bane of my life. I’ve read all of the negatives about this product but I hope that it continues to work for me without any problems.

I have used this for years with no problems. Facial skin is always going to be a bit iffy with certain products for certain people. Doesn’t mean the product they are using is not a good one. Plain and simple if the product doesnt suit your skin, find one that does.

Sue Fernandez, you are correct in what you say but as you can see from other comments here Eyesential is not for everyone.
